2-Tier Health Care

I am an insulin dependent diabetic. I'm not fat. Never have been. I have the kind that cute little kids get. They eventually grow up and become adults with diabetes and suddenly they're not cute anymore so we're kicked to the curb and forgotten, especially by the American Diabetes Association which keeps demanding I send them money rather than send me some or pass laws making it illegal to attack me in the workplace just because I have diabetes and people are jerks to the disabled.

Obamacare, which is really just Bill Clinton's health care bill from the mid 90's forced into law by corrupt politicians, doubled, then quintupled my health care costs, even before it went into effect. It scared the health insurance companies, and doctors looked into what it would do to them. The pharamaceutical companies, which make my insulin, started shutting down their research and development, closed labs, laid off tens of thousands of research scientists and technicians that make cures for disease right after Obama-care was rammed through congress. I was working in biotech at the time and wages fell, sharply. My own income was threatened and I didn't know month to month, whether I still had a job for long. Nerve wracking. When our next health insurance program came up, they tripled cost of the insurance, and went from a $20 copay to a $1250 deductible, which ends up being out of pocket since I don't make the sort of money to have real tax writeoffs. As I'm suffering from chronic illness of a childhood disease, no fault of my own, this basically meant I had to pay that annually.

This meant I wasn't spending that money on other parts of the economy. I stopped eating out at restaurants, and restaurants laid off waitresses, then closed their doors. I stopped going on vacations and airlines shut down, hotels closed, Las Vegas and Reno lost half their visitors and their casinos started closing one after another. Some gas stations closed. Movie theaters raised prices to stay open and fewer people came. It wasn't just me cutting back. It was everyone. Obamacare burst the economic recovery that could have been going on right now.

In populous areas there are many closed store fronts on main streets that should be filled with boutiques and eateries and soccer moms. Instead there's dirt, boarded up windows, signs of crime. This is a very bad thing. It was Obamacare's real costs that caused this. Employers don't pay good wages anymore. They pay minimum wage and are ready to fire people any time to avoid paying for Obamacare. I know people who work multiple part time jobs at minimum wage because that's the only way to keep a roof over their heads in the modern Socialist economy. If you voted for the Socialists, this is your fault. This may end up my future too. Education just means you have more debts to pay off when you get that minimum wage job using your additional skills. Our economy is broken.

In medicine, this is even worse. Without miracle drugs to blame for high health care costs (rather than doctor's wages and the aging population of Baby Boomers, most of whom are retiring), unfunded coverage is shifted onto the Youth, who are going to pay the $115 annual fine rather than pay $800 a month for health insurance they won't use because they are young. The entire basis that Obama's health care adjusters insist pays for the plan is nonsense. This is going to drive health insurance companies out of business. After all, its not illegal to simply declare bankruptcy and close your doors forever. So they will. Especially if Obama regulates what they can charge for health plans, which makes certain they bankrupt even faster. Aging populations use their coverage. Youth don't. Youth won't pay. They can't afford to on Minimum wage jobs when they also have to pay off student loans for degrees that only get them Minimum Wage jobs because the Obama Economy is broken. I worked with those in DNA manufacturing. Wages were double minimum, but only double. Most were still living with their parents, or huddling in shared apartments in slums, angry, bitter over the betrayal of their educations. They took it out on each other, and on themselves. All of them were suicide risks. Most of these people are still paying for smart phones and data plans, most can't afford a car payment. None can afford a family, but some of them have one anyway, and are decidedly desperate over the $2500 annual health insurance deductible.

So this gets into the bigger problem. With health insurance companies going out of business, doctors will be forced to either take Medicare, which barely pays because it is bankrupt like social security, or close their doors to public insurance. Stop doing business in Federally regulated health care. And that's already happening. If you take no Federal dollars, they can't force you to treat anyone who stumbles in for care then sneaks out without paying for it, something which closed emergency rooms across LA and resulted in heart attack victims dying before they could get care. This caused massive outrage in tax payers down in LA and resulted in significant White Flight. The end of tax payers closed even more emergency rooms and caused a surge in private, very private clinics where you don't offer insurance, you pay for care with cash. Gold is accepted too. This is called the Concierge System and its heavily recruiting qualified doctors and nurses with far better wages than the Federal controlled hospitals and clinics can afford. And they don't take Obamacare. They're private. Untouchable. This is where the Congress will go, because they are exempt from Obamacare. Same with other Federal employees and the Unions. Exempt.

If the Republicans came up with this system and implemented it, you'd scream bloody murder that it was evil. But Obama and Clinton came up with it, so that's just fine, right? And when they cut off grandma's medications and refuse her operation and you get to watch her die, that's okay, right? Because you voted for Socialism. And the more old people die, the less burden they put on the health care system and the more affordable it becomes. If it provides no services at all, its practically a bargain.

And that's where it becomes 2-Tier. Kinda like in the Middle Ages. Doctors for the rich, witch-doctors for the poor. High life expectancy for the rich, lower life expectancy for the poor. Guess which you are? Enjoy that Minimum Wage job and your Student Loan Payments. This is Obamacare. In the face of that kind of evil, isn't shutting down the govt the right answer?
