Obama is the best thing that ever happened to Jimmy Carter. Carter went from the biggest failure of a President to a moderately successful one thanks to the continuous screwups and lies of Obama. Even after demanding Congress fix his blunder, he threatened to veto the bill like a petulant baby. The upside is the veto sends it to the Senate, who can pass it with a supermajority, if enough Democrats support the destruction of Obamacare, since its failed so hard and costs so much. And killing that bad law serves the Democratic party.
I've been thinking about the Democratic Party leadership, which now probably considers Obama unstable, unbalanced, an enemy, having ruined their reputation with this 3 year long blunder and billion dollar loss of funds that might have gone to more useful purpose. They have to save their power, and that means finding a way to restore faith in their party values, like Union jobs. Unions have been antsy thanks to low manufacturing capacity under Obama's failed leadership and they are the backbone supporting the Democratic party. Too much power has been lost thanks to Obama.
Manufacturing has largely gone to China under W and Obama did nothing to reverse this trend. He's really done nothing much at all, apparently. In 1941, Americans fought two major enemies in a world war and won in little more than 3 years. In 2010, we apparently couldn't build a website with a billion dollars and 3 years time. This is about the worst possible failure you could drop onto Democratic Party responsibility. Even Democrats are angry, but they might not get reelected and they need to be seen as the opposite of Obama. Able to solve problems, not create them. Succeed where he fails.
There's a danger that voters will vote for Republicans instead of Democrats because Obama is such a big flop, such a failure. All his broken promises, all his now-obvious lies just to pander to the crowd. "If you like your plan, you can keep your plan."
FAILURE. 32 million people have lost their health insurance because of him and his dirty law. It's really bad news. It's a public relations disaster.
The Democratic leadership has to do something big, something distracting. War is boring. It's not attracting attention anymore. It's also another reminder of Obama's broken promises, since he swore he would bring American troops home in his first term. Another big fat lie that's killing Americans and funding terrorists. The Democratic leadership can't be reminding people of this so war is out.
It needs to be something the Republicans could be attracted into voting for too. Enough for a supermajority that Obama couldn't screw up like a petulant whining Dictator who attempts to subvert the Constitution he swore to uphold. What could possibly win sufficient Republican support?
Full employment. How do you get that? Bring back American manufacturing jobs. How do you do that? Put trade tariffs on Chinese imports. They can threaten the rice we export feeding their country but that's a rather empty threat. Go ahead. Tariff rice. See how long before your people are killing party members in China. LOL. I dare you. The new govt of China will BEG for food. 100 million people in China eat California rice every day. Ban our rice, have 100 million rebels, or 50 million suicide bombers bent on revenge against your leaders. See how that goes.
The threat of China dumping T-Bills is empty as well. They're backed by NOTHING (thanks to The Fed), pure Fiat currency, so dump away. The Middle East will buy them because all their money is in Dollars and they can't afford to lose their shirts, which will raise oil prices going to China, so the T-Bills thing? Empty threat.
The best part is you can call the Trade Tariffs whatever you want. Maybe the American Jobs Act. If there's minimal actual spending which Republicans vote against, and just focus on taxing India and China out of our market, out of our country, out of our lives, off our phones and out of our hardware stores. So what if Walmart goes bankrupt? They aren't that many votes, are they? Not compared to the 100 million potential jobs making housewares and car parts and everything else those foreigners make with cheap or slave labor. Ban their cheap Chinese products, pay Americans to make it instead. Yes, it will cost more, but we'll have jobs to pay more for it too. We are 300 million people, families who want to work for a living. Democrats AND Republicans can get behind that. Full employment fixes the economy and fixes Obama. We get a positive distraction instead of constant failure.
Employ America. Ban Chinese goods.
